MEMCO Atlanta is hiring for a Traveling Precast Concrete/Erection Foreman!
- Pay: $29-33/hr; based on experience
- Schedule: 7am-5pm ; Sun - Friday; Saturdays off
- Full time and long term
- Paid out-of-state Traveling involved
MEMCO has partnered with a huge Concrete Construction company in Atlanta seeking an experienced Traveling Concrete/General Erection Foreman to lead onsite crews for precast concrete installation on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This role requires hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and strict adherence to safety protocols while working at heights and traveling extensively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and manage a crew of 4–5 workers.
- Oversee precast concrete erection, including choker hook-up, guiding panels into place, grouting, and patching.
- Operate and maintain tools (e.g., gas-powered saws for cutting/notching).
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise placement.
- Manage jobsite logistics: order grout, coordinate clean-up, and communicate with superintendents.
- Enforce safety compliance (OSHA, PPE, fall protection) and company policies.
- Travel 100%: book hotels, drive/maintain a company truck, and work away from home weekly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years in precast concrete erection or related field (foreman experience preferred).
- Training in rigging, flagging, and OSHA safety rules (employer-provided).
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills to delegate tasks and resolve onsite issues.
Physical Requirements:
- Work from heights (ladders, scaffolds, elevated platforms).
- Lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and tolerate outdoor weather conditions.
A pre-employment drug screen will be required for all positions.
Must provide documents establishing identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
