Memorial Community Development Corp (MCDC) was established in 1994 to transform the social and economic landscape of Evansville and its surrounding communities. Our mission is to enhance the lives of residents through comprehensive community development initiatives that focus on affordable housing, economic empowerment, youth education, and health and wellness.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Program Development Director to lead various initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping our programs to meet community needs and drive impactful change in Evansville. The Program Development Director will oversee program development, implementation, and evaluation to ensure alignment with our mission. They will also lead fundraising efforts, write and manage grants, and cultivate relationships with funders, stakeholders, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community programs that align with MCDC's mission and objectives.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.
• Conduct research and data collection to assess community needs and program effectiveness.
• Write proposals for funding opportunities to support program initiatives.
• Plan and coordinate events that promote community engagement and awareness.
• Collaborate with local organizations, stakeholders, and volunteers to enhance program reach.
• Monitor program outcomes and prepare reports for stakeholders on progress and impact.
• Lead a team of staff and volunteers in executing program activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in program management or community development roles.
• Strong skills in budgeting and financial management.
• Excellent research skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability in proposal writing for grants or funding opportunities.
• Experience in strategic planning to guide program direction.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as MailChimp is a plus.
• Event planning experience to facilitate community engagement activities is beneficial.
• A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within community programming.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
