Work Duration: May 1, 2025 to September 1, 2025 Contracted work with the potential for more permanent opportunities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
  • Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
  • Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conduct internal audits.
  • Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines.
  • Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
  • Assist the accounting manager as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk, while working on a computer
