Job Summary And Qualifications
The Quality Coordinator II works under minimal supervision and is responsible for coordinating quality/performance improvement initiatives impacting core clinical and operational processes required for hospital licensure and accreditation. The Quality Coordinator II conducts case review for quality assurance activities. The Quality Coordinator II collects, monitors, and trends clinical and operational process and outcome data. This position works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to identify and enhance quality issues that produce quantitative and qualitative results for internal and external customers. The Quality Coordinator II facilities and participates in safety analysis and investigations and action plans to mitigate recurrence.
The Quality Coordinator II is responsible for abstracting and collecting clinical data elements, maintaining required logs, and conducting chart reviews to ensure compliance with established nationally recognized and publicly reported quality patient outcomes as required by TJC, CMS QIO’s, other state and federal agencies, and other national data registries.
The Quality Coordinator II facilitates facility wide clinical improvement activities and must manage teams and projects related to improving patient safety and outcomes.
The Quality Coordinator II leads interdisciplinary process improvement activities in the assigned clinical service line supporting high quality patient-centered care. The QC II collaborates with the service line, physician and ancillary department leadership and care teams to monitor care processes and develop, implement, and evaluate changes that deliver measurable improvement in quality, safety and care experience elements of workflow and care processes. The QC is responsible to utilize knowledge and skills to recommend priorities based on objective data and feedback from leadership and care team members under the direction of the service line director. The QC will also engage in facility, division, or corporate wide activities and teams, and interacts with multi-disciplinary partners in the pursuit if improvements to care and workflow. The QC performs activities in conjunction with the organizational and corporate quality improvement team.

What qualifications you will need:
- Registered Nursing License for state of GA or Compact Nursing License required
- Bachelors Degree required
- Master's Degree preferred
- BLS required
- CPHQ, CPPS preferred
- 3 years in Patient Care, Risk Management, or Clinical Quality required
