What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Endocrinology position at Memorial Healthcare System?
The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital (JDCH) is seeking to add an experienced physician to its dynamic pediatric endocrinology team. Candidates should be Board Certified in pediatric endocrinology. Candidates will have an opportunity to become part of a strong, cohesive division, and be supported in cultivating growth and pursuits in areas of their own fields of interest.
The division cares for patients that encompass the full spectrum of pediatric endocrinology at a freestanding pediatric hospital and in three satellite locations in Wellington, Boca Raton, and Miramar. Our active and robust diabetes program is the only one in the state of Florida with ADA recognition. The team currently includes eight physicians and one APRN that are primarily dedicated to diabetic patients, along with three RN CDE and six RD CDEs that provide inpatient and outpatient diabetes education. The incoming physician will be expected to take call on a rotating basis. Our division also collaborates with several multidisciplinary clinics including the hematology-oncology brain tumor clinic, the genetic 22Q clinic, and the adolescent bariatric program.
Ample teaching opportunities are available as Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital provides a ACGME accredited pediatric residency program and participates in medical school teaching programs. Medical students from FAU, FIU and Nova rotate through our division for exposure to pediatric endocrinology.
This is a full-time employed position with the Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
