What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Operations Manager - Supply Chain - Days - FT - Biloxi Location position at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport?
- Oversee and support logistical activities and staff ensuring a smooth customer focused experience
- Develop strategic plans to improve warehousing operations
- Manage and maintain documentation for Hazmat events for Memorial Health System
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation/couriers, and linen services
- Introduction and management of Warehouse management systems
- Plan appropriate steps and action plans to achieve departmental and organizational strategic goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance of Occupational Health and Safety and a safe workplace for all
- Work closely with Engineering to support management and maintenance of departmental vehicle fleet
- Identify and manage continuous improvement projects
- Resolve any arising problems escalating issues as required
- As required provide support in solving day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Apply supply chain best practices to actively identify, analyze, and recommend quick win opportunities both internal and external to MHS
- Assist in solution design and analytical support for supply chain activities
- Engage with stakeholders to identify, scope, plan, and execute improvement initiatives
- Provide support to the Director of Supply Chain and Logistical Service as needed
Education: High School or GED
Education: Bachelor's Degree In business or related field
