What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Department - Days - FT position at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport?
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Successful completion of a Masters in Nursing Program.
Licensure: Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification and a current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Mississippi as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Experience: Three (3) years as a staff RN.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Ability to problem solve for patients with complicated disorders; to interpret physicians' instructions; to instruct using adult learning methods. Practices using standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Must have successfully completed at least 700 clinical practice hours.
Licensure: N/A.
Experience: One (1) year as an emergency nurse or family nurse practitioner.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Computer skills and keyboarding. Ability to use Microsft Applications.
