JOB SUMMARY
-
Performs and supervises EVS Housekeeping staff in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Ensures activity in the Hospital provides an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment through tours and inspections of the Hospital, MOB and assigned off site Clinics. Assists EVS Supervisor in day to day operations of the EVS Housekeeping department. Assists with training and evaluating EVS staff members per organizational criteria. Assists, performs and maintains updated documented physical observations and inspections of the Hospital, MOB and assigned off site Clinics. Provides coverage in the absence of staff members in the Hospital, MOB and assigned off site Clinics when necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.
The Environmental Services Shift Lead reports to the Environmental Services Director.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
-
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Must have at least one year of service/experience in environmental services.

- Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
- Must be able to communicate oral and written information with clear and concise skill.
- Must be able to work well under pressure, deal professionally and respectfully with various interpersonal styles.

- Must be able perform, direct and supervise staff members to provide customers with the highest standard of service.
- Must have a working knowledge of and be able to assist in training all phases of housekeeping techniques and related equipment.
- Must be able to follow and enforce all standards of the department and house wide polices that are pertinent to their work.
