About the Role:
Diagnostic Imaging Centers of Texas (DICOT) is seeking a highly skilled Personal Injury (LOP) Lead Account Manager to oversee and guide a team of LOP account managers. In this leadership role, you will manage and optimize the collection of payments from personal injury attorneys for services rendered under a Letter of Protection (LOP) while ensuring smooth billing operations. You will work closely with personal injury attorneys, paralegals, and internal departments to facilitate case settlements and drive collections success.
What You DO:
- Supervise the local collection team in Houston, reporting directly to the Director of LOP Billing in Dallas
- Engage and follow up with personal injury attorneys representing patients, ensuring efficient case tracking and bill processing.
- Oversee the completion of bills, records, affidavits, and legal requests to facilitate case settlement or litigation.
- Communicate directly with attorneys and paralegals to negotiate and approve reduction offers.
- Analyze KPIs related to LOP AR collections, identify operational inefficiencies, and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal departments, third-party vendors, and attorneys to resolve billing and customer service inquiries.
- Train, mentor, and provide performance feedback to the LOP collections team, including developing and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of new hires, ensuring adherence to best practices.
What You BRING:
- Experience in personal injury, case management, LOP workflow, and settlement/litigation processes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to guide and develop a team effectively
- Proven background in AR collection for high volume of accounts, preferably in a healthcare provider setting.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a strategic approach to conflict resolution and deal-making.
- Effective interpersonal skills to effectively work with attorneys and internal teams.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail to track performance metrics and recommend improvements.
