What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Scheduler - CPG Cardiology position at Memorial Physician Practices?
Conemaugh Physician Group is seeking a full-time Surgical Scheduler for CPG Cardiology in Johnstown, PA. The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating patient’s surgical procedures and testings, contacting insurance companies for approvals, and ensuring that appropriate contacts are made to complete the process. Under the direction of the Practice Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for performing secretarial and general office duties, including, but not limited to, answering phones, maintaining medical records, supply inventory, tabulation of surgical statistics, and support of Cardiology operations in a physician’s office to meet the needs of the patient and medical staff. Interacts with all age groups according to their age and developmental needs.

Essential Responsibilities :
Job Qualifications : Education :
Required : High School Graduate or equivalent.
Preferred : Graduate of an approved medical secretary school.
Experience :
Required : One to two years' experience in a physician office setting. Individual must have strong clinical skills and be proficient with medical terminology.
Preferred : Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record and experience with Word and Excel.
