Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, confirming visits, and ensuring that physician schedules are accurate and maintained. The candidate must have a professional demeanor, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 2 years of medical experience or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient testing and visits according to physician availability and office procedures.
- Confirm patient appointments and communicate any changes to the schedule.
- Maintain and update accurate physician schedules, ensuring compliance with scheduling guidelines.
- Handle confidential patient information with discretion and adhere to HIPAA standards.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, staff, and physicians.
- Coordinate and prioritize multiple scheduling tasks to ensure efficient clinic operation.
- Provide excellent customer service with a calm and professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Ensure all information is entered accurately into the computer system, adhering to office protocols.
- Follow scheduling rules and guidelines to minimize scheduling conflicts and ensure smooth patient flow.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of medical office experience or equivalent experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and scheduling software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain a professional, calm demeanor in a busy, fast-paced environment.
