Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:
To perform the Fleet Technician 2 role, you must:
-Have an Associate degree in Automotive Technology or related degree; or successfully complete MLGW Fleet Technician 1 Apprenticeship program; or high school diploma or GED equivalent and have four (4) ASE certifications (the approved ASE list includes: Automobile and Light Truck (A1-A9); Medium Heavy Truck (T1-T8); Transit Bus (H1-H8); Military Tactical Wheeled Vehicle (MIL 1 - MIL8); School Bus (S1 - S8).
Have 4 years of experience in diagnostic, repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles or medium duty trucks or heavy equipment.
Have a valid driver’s license from state of residence
Successfully complete placement/performance exercises
Obtain a valid class A Commercial license from state of residence within trial or probationary period
Pass colorblind test 1
Physical Working Conditions:
Works inside and outside. Subject to hazards of operating machinery and irritation from oils, solvents, chemicals and fumes. Make service calls in the field. Subject to climbing, standing/walking for extended periods and working in uncomfortable positions. Requires heavy lifting/carrying up to 100lbs.
