Position Overview:
We are seeking a Proposal Manager with a strong scientific background to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent scientific and technical writing skills, have experience preparing funding proposals, and be familiar with the solicitation, proposal, and contract award processes. Prior experience with solicitation and proposals for the Department of Defense (DoD), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Science Foundation (NSF), or similar agencies is mandatory. This role is crucial for securing funding that will drive our research and development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Funding Research:
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and private sectors.
- Stay current with new solicitations and funding announcements relevant to our research areas.
- Proposal/Grant Writing:
- Draft, edit, and review high-quality funding proposals, grant applications, and related technical documents.
- Ensure all submissions comply with funding agency guidelines and deadlines.
- Solicitation Process Management:
- Lead and manage the proposal development and submission process for DoD, NIH, NSF, and other agencies.
- Collaborate with scientific and technical teams to ensure proposals align with solicitation requirements.
- Scientific Manuscripts:
- Contribute to the writing and publication of scientific manuscripts, ensuring accurate representation of research findings.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field). An advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in scientific/technical writing, particularly in preparing government funding proposals and grants.
- Experience with the DoD, NIH, or NSF solicitation/proposal processes is highly desirable.
- Experience writing and publishing scientific manuscripts is a plus.
- Skills:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear and concise language.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Other Requirements:
- Must have a U.S. work permit or visa (candidates requiring sponsorship will not be considered).
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work on-site in Fort Worth, Texas.
