Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager plays a key role in overseeing human resources operations, office administration, and executive support to ensure efficiency and alignment with company goals. This position is responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture, managing the full employee lifecycle, maintaining compliance with employment regulations, and supporting leadership with administrative and operational tasks. As a central point of contact for employees, this role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to effectively balance HR responsibilities with office management and strategic initiatives. Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing hiring processes.
- Handle all onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire orientation, paperwork, IT setup, and exit interviews.
- Administer and manage employee benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
- Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain accurate records in the HRIS platform (Rippling).
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Manage employee performance reviews, track goal progress, and work with leadership to develop career growth plans.
- Design and implement training and development programs to upskill employees and improve retention.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, handling conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations.
- Maintain and update the employee handbook, policies, and HR documentation.
- Act as a key administrative support for the Chief Executive Officer, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials, and handling correspondence.
- Oversee general office management, ensuring a smooth and efficient work environment by answering phone calls, keeping office supplies stocked, and maintaining an organized workplace.
- Update and maintain project tracking boards to keep the team aligned on deadlines and deliverables.
- Organize and coordinate company events, team-building activities, and employee recognition programs.
- Manage company social media accounts, ensuring consistent branding and engagement with clients and potential candidates.
- Coordinate with the website designer to update company information, job postings, and news.
- Represent the company at community and industry events, job fairs, and networking functions to enhance visibility.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, workplace safety, and labor laws, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Track and manage workers' compensation claims, leave requests (FMLA, PTO, etc.), and accommodations as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a similar field.
- 3 years of HR experience in a generalist or HR management role, preferably in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
- Experience managing payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and experience with HR/payroll software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle employee conflicts, performance issues, and compliance matters effectively.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
The pay range for this role is:
60,000 - 90,000 USD per year(Alachua, FL )
