Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and customer service, a knowledge of wine, with the ability to engage customers and drive sales. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers in a fun & eclectic store environment. Tips will also increase your hourly rate.
Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs.
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, handling transactions with precision.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage cash handling and ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the customer experience.
- Engage customers to encourage wine sales and tips.
- Engage to describe products and showcase features and benefits, encouraging customers to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively.
- Communicate effectively with team members and owner to ensure smooth operations within the store.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous wine knowledge with emphasis on local AVA's preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong basic math skills to facilitate cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers effectively.
- Experience in upselling or product demonstrations is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays is preferred
