Job Summary:
Meneses Law is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Collections Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will primarily focus on contacting clients to collect payments and provide excellent customer service. If you have customer service or call center experience, are a strong communicator, and are comfortable making phone calls, we encourage you to apply!
- Must be able to place 100 to 120 collection calls a day in Spanish and English.
- Communicate professionally with clients to collect payment terms and resolve issues related to past-due accounts.
- Provide clear and accurate updates on the status of accounts.
- Maintain detailed notes on client’s interactions and payment arrangements.
- Research customer discrepancies and past due amounts, with assistance from the team when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth resolution of overdue accounts.
- De-escalate client concerns.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize task efficiently.
- Comfortable making high-volume calls and payment arrangements.
- Ability to handle challenging conversations professionally and with empathy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Comfortable with office equipment such as computers, 10-key calculators and copiers.
- Must be able to type 45 words per minute or more.
- Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- At least one year of related experience required.
Compensation:
Meneses Law believes in Work Life Balance. Operation hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus 2 Saturdays a month for certain positions.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Education/ Experience:
- An associate’s degree, knowledge of MS Office and MacOS.
- Ability of reading comprehension, writing, speaking to others to convey information effectively, active listening and interpreting instructional documents.
- Must be able to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the problem or objective. Identify relevant concerns or factors, patterns, tendencies, and relationships. Formulate logical and objective conclusions and recognize alternative and their implications.
- This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
- May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
- Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Excellent organizational and time-management.
- Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm 2 Saturdays, per month. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
