Job Summary:

Meneses Law is seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to oversee the accounts receivable team to ensure streamlined invoicing, timely collections, and effective resolution of billing matters. This position demands strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and receivables processes.

Accounts Receivable Supervisor Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Must be able to efficiently collect past due accounts.
• Must be able to place collection calls in Spanish and English.
• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
• Researches all customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the accounting manager.
• Collaborates with the Accounting manager to periodically reconcile accounts receivable.
• Relays updates and changes to client information as it relates to the status of the accounts receivable accounts.
• Communicates findings to Accounting Manager that require involvement of other departments within the company.
• Solicit payment of bills through negotiation and professional communication.
• Follow proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives.
• Supervise and/or manage accounts receivable team functions for accuracy.
• Prepare, review, and analyze accounts receivable statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Help with quarterly and year-end accounts receivable activity, reporting, and audits.
• Perform other duties or assigned tasks based on departmental needs.

Accounts Receivable Supervisor Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Able to overcome payments and bring accounts current.
• Proficient with technology and ability to learn our software systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.

• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and MacOS systems as well as other accounting software programs.
• Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Friendly and strong commitment to customer service.
• One year work experience as a debt collector or similar clerical role.
• Principles and procedures of record keeping.
• Must have impeccable math skills
• Able to type 45 WPM or more.
• Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• At least 4 years of related experience required.

Compensation:

Meneses Law believes in Work Life Balance. Operation hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus 2 Saturdays a month for certain positions.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education/ Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree, knowledge of MS Office and MacOS.

Communication Skills:

• Ability of reading comprehension, writing, speaking to others to convey information effectively, active listening and interpreting instructional documents. English/ Spanish bilingual oral communication is a must.

Reasoning Skills:

• Must be able to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the problem or objective. Identify relevant concerns or factors, patterns, tendencies, and relationships. Formulate logical and objective conclusions and recognize alternative and their implications.

Physical Demands:

• This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
• May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
• Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds.

Other skills:

• Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Excellent organizational and time-management.

Work Hours:

• Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm 2 Saturdays, per month. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
