Job Overview
The IT Help Desk Engineer provides technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure smooth and efficient IT operations. This role serves as the first point of contact for users requiring technical assistance and is responsible for resolving issues in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex problems when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users for macOS devices (desktops, laptops, and related devices) via phone, email, or ticketing systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems related to macOS systems, including mobile devices and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords in enterprise systems such as Azure Active Directory, Office 365, or other platforms.
- Perform software installations, updates, and configurations for macOS devices.
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and VPN setups.
- Provide support for network printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Document issues, resolutions, and actions taken within a ticketing system for tracking and reporting.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level technical teams or external vendors as needed.
- Monitor IT systems and proactively address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Assist in creating user guides, FAQs, and technical documentation specific to macOS platforms.
- Work collaboratively with other IT team members to address complex or unresolved technical issues.
- Contribute to IT projects such as system upgrades, software migrations, and device deployments.
- Assist with IT tasks and activities as required to maintain the daily operations of the business.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in troubleshooting macOS, and iOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 or other enterprise productivity suites.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong customer service orientation with a professional and positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests effectively.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure timely resolution of support tickets and requests.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and keep up with IT trends.
- A proactive approach to learning new technologies and methodologies in IT support.
Educational / Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Apple Certified Support Professional) are a plus.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
- Prior experience working with macOS and enterprise IT environments is highly preferred.
Compensation:
Meneses Law believes in Work Life Balance. Operation hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus 2 Saturdays a month for certain positions.
