Description of Responsibilities
Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio is seeking a Program Coordinator. This role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and promotion of the Pro Bono Counseling program in Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio and the Peer Support programs in Southwest Ohio.

Primary duties include:
  • Provide administrative, educative, and supportive supervision for assigned Peer Support Staff
  • Maintain regular communication with community partners regarding the performance and progress of assigned Peer Support staff.
  • Recruit, place, and support university interns (Bachelor and Master level) and volunteers for the Pro-Bono Counseling program.
  • Coordinates the provision of services to clients, ensuring they are matched with appropriate therapists based on eligibility and need.
  • Foster new partnerships and expand the range of Pro-Bono Counseling services offered in the community.
  • Manage MHA-sponsored support groups, ensuring facilitators are assigned and groups are coordinated weekly.
  • Lead the development and regular updates of the agency’s Program Management Tool in collaboration with Peer Support staff and the Clinical Services Director.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, supervisor meetings, training, and other relevant events as required.
  • Complete and document client data within required timeframes, ensuring all reports are submitted and stored appropriately.
Required education/experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Non-profit or program coordination experience and/or training.
  • Completion of Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter Supervisor Training or completion within 90 days of employment.
Required skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and program participants
  • Strong Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to navigate and utilize Microsoft Office programs and learn data entry systems
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
