Position:
A member of the residential staff responsible for the administration and oversight of daily operations of
the residential facilities. This position provides supervision and support to both residential staff and
consumers in the residential programs.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED; experience working in the mental health field is preferred.
2. A valid driver’s license
3. Supervisory, communication, and administrative skills are preferred

Position(s) Supervised: Mental Health Technicians
Expectation:
A Residential Manager is expected to supervise the housing facilities according to agency requirements,
to maintain high standards of care, and foster a collaborative environment among staff. This position
should be accessible and visible to staff during times of change or stress.
Duties:
1. Train, supervise, evaluate and ensure the efficiency and productivity of all residential technicians.
2. Understand, implement, and promote staff compliance with the rules set forth for Supervised
Residential Facilities by the Department of Mental Health and the U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development.
3. Review time sheets of Residential Technicians to determine accuracy of time recorded and forward
to Payroll Personnel.
4. Provide for the 24-hour monitoring of the facility through the development and implementation of
residential technician schedules.
5. Implement any directives given by supervisory personnel and ensure that personnel comprehend
and carry out those directives in a timely and professional manner.
6. Ensure the building, grounds and supplies are maintained.
7. Inspect all client apartments monthly, make recommendations, fill out relevant paperwork, and
complete follow-ups as needed.
8. Prepare and submit documentation for supervisory personnel including progress notes, monthly
attendance forms, Medical Prompt /Hygiene tracking forms and correspondence.
9. Collaborate with supervisory personnel to develop and implement residential programming at all
sites.
10. Conduct monthly client meetings at each residential building.
11. Conduct staff meetings once a month with all residential technicians.
12. Summarize and calculate different types of client data on a monthly basis.
13. Ensure that clients’ medical needs are met by coordinating with care coordinator, community
support specialists, and nursing staff.
14. Provide support services to residents on an as needed basis.
15. Assist clients in minor first aid such as bandaging, cleansing, etc., on an as needed basis.
16. Attend regularly scheduled staffings to discuss client areas of concern and utilize the presence of
personnel for guidance on challenging or frustrating situations.
17. Observe and document factual information that indicates a client’s functioning.
18. Monitor and document the client's compliance with prescribed medication.
19. Develop rapport with the clients to encourage verbalization of concerns, symptoms, or personal
needs.
20. Assist staff and clients in the implementation of the individual treatment plan goals. Provide
supervisory staff with the client’s progress and assist in treatment plan review/modifications.
21. Review progress notes of Mental Health Technicians and ensure that they are completed in a
timely manner.
22. Possess a working knowledge of the various programs involved with the treatment of the
chronically mentally ill.
23. Preserve confidentiality of all agency materials relating to clients, services and privileged
personnel/administration information.
24. Ensure that all administrative tasks and client documentation are accurate and completed in a
timely manner.
25. Understand, observe, and promote staff compliance with the policies and procedures established
by the Mental Health Centers of Western Illinois.
26. Attend required annual trainings and other work-related seminars to increase overall knowledge
base and improve job-related skills.
27. Acquire and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification.
28. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Pay: $17.35 - $18.90 per hour
