Job Summary
We are seeking a Department of Behavioral Health Qualified Mental Health Professional for Adults and Children to join our team in the Newport News, VA area! In this role, you will conduct individual skill building sessions with adults or intensive in-home sessions with children and family in the community.
Job Type : Contract
Responsibilities
Perform Individual Sessions
Create individualized treatment plans for each client
Use evidence-based treatment methods to guide skills building and / or intensive in-home activities
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan
Perform regular wellness checks
Adhere to all agency and licensing standards
Qualifications (minimal)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or similar human services field
Current and unrestricted Department of Behavioral Health Certification as QMHP-A or QMHP-C
Previous experience as a behavioral health counselor highly recommended
