What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager position at Mentor MFG Kubota?
Responsible for leadership, operating performance of the service department and backing up our parts counter, customer satisfaction, and service employee engagement. Manages the service department to deliver customer satisfaction while delivering financial results. Optimization of service department through efficient use of resources & personnel. Manages performance by goals, monitoring, managing accountability, and taking action to enhance performance.
Duties
- Customer service standards/Customer satisfaction
- Communication to customers & technicians
- Competency & application of DBS (computer system)
- Writing, issuing, and invoicing work orders
- Maintain workflow in service dept. by issuance of work orders, communicating with technicians, and ensuring service parts are ordered and issued to technicians in a timely manner
- Detail invoices to communicate the scope of work performed
- Assess technical capabilities of service staff and coordinate training
- Keep technician training/shop tooling current and up to MFG & Kubota’s standards
- Oversee and maintain the organization and cleanliness of all service dept. areas
- Stay current on all service bulletins
- Work in collaboration with Warranty Dept. to ensure all warranty claims are being processed and communicated to maximize profitability
- Work in collaboration with sales dept. to optimize trucking schedule
- Complete campaigns on time
- Implementation of service programs (sales)
