What are the responsibilities and job description for the CARES ESY Career Exploration Program Certified Job Coach Supervisor - Autism Unit - Summer 2025 Only position at Mentor Public Schools?
Stipend: $3,581.90
Dates of Program: June 16 - July 16 - 3 days per week (M,T,W) 15 total work days - 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Qualifications: The successful candidate shall possess the following skills to perform the essential functions of the job:
1. Must have appropriate, valid certification or license to teach the assigned content area as recognized by the Ohio Department of Education. Transition to Work endorsement preferred.
2. Thorough knowledge, understanding, and appreciation for the learning process and the nature of working with children with autism.
3. Proficiency in teaching, i.e. -- demonstrate ability to adapt his/her knowledge of educational methodology and variety of instructional techniques for the benefit of students in the learning environment. Scholarly competence in the structure and content of the subject area for which (s)he is responsible.
4. Ability to communicate with students and parents the manner in which the curriculum relates to them.
5. Demonstrate the ability to work and interact with other staff members, students, and administration in a manner that is cooperative and productive.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Break time shall be flexible depending on the situation. CARES staff will be required to dress in CARES uniform (black pants, CARES shirt, black shoes with no more than 1/2 inch heel, no perfume, no dangling jewelry).
