What are the responsibilities and job description for the CARES ESY Career Exploration Program Job Coach - Autism Unit (7 positions available) - Summer 2025 Only position at Mentor Public Schools?
Stipend: $2,139.15
Dates of Program: June 16 - July 16 - 3 days per week (M,T,W) 15 total work days - 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Qualifications desired: The successful candidate shall possess the following skills to perform the essential functions of the job:
- Must have proficiency in reading and math.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to assist job site supervisor with job site activities, clerical work, and supervise one or small groups of young adults.
- Must have experience working with High School aged students with autism.
- Must be able to work in a one-on-one environment.
- Occasionally required to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with students, parents, administration, and other job site supervisors.
- Must meet Highly Qualified Classroom Assistant requirements.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Break time shall be flexible depending on the situation. CARES staff will be required to dress in CARES uniform (black pants, CARES shirt, black shoes with no more than 1/2 inch heel, no perfume, no dangling jewlery).
