Description: Responsible for implementing IEP goals and objectives, following behavior plans, collecting data, reporting on progress by completing a progress report at the completion of the program and interpreting assigned course of study and translating into a format for instruction.
Stipend: $3,013.01
Dates of Program: Dates of Program: June 27 Staff Training Day -- June 30 & July 1 (M,T); July 7 & 8 (M,T); July 14 & 15 (M,T); July 21, 22 & 23 (M,T,W); July 28, 29 & 30 (M,T,W)
13 total work days - 12 days with students; 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m./ 5.5 hours/day
Qualifications:
- Must have appropriate, valid certification or license to teach the assigned content area as recognized by the Ohio Department of Education.
- Thorough knowledge, understanding, and appreciation for the learning process and the nature of working with children with autism.
- Proficiency in teaching, i.e. -- demonstrate ability to adapt his/her knowledge of educational methodology and variety of instructional techniques for the benefit of students in the learning environment. Scholarly competence in the structure and content of the subject area for which (s)he is responsible.
- Ability to communicate with students and parents the manner in which the curriculum relates to them.
- Demonstrate the ability to work and interact with other staff members, students, and administration in a manner that is cooperative and productive.
