What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Bartender | Terrain Gardens position at Menus and Venues?
Role Summary
Provide friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests. Uphold and improve upon all service standards of Menus and Venues Food & Beverage
Role Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests
- Make recommendations and suggest appropriate beverage pairings
- Answer questions regarding beverage lists, where wines and beers are produced and their aromas & flavors
- Answer questions about our events functions and services
- Take food and beverage orders from guests and accurately enter them into POS system
- Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter
- Clear and replace settings between each course
- Perform side work before, during and at the end of each shift
- Maintain clean service areas
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow service staff members
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager
Role Qualifications
- Previous experience in a comparable restaurant or event space preferred
- Strong work ethic and excellent multi-tasking skills
- Personable and professional demeanor
- Passion for great food and service
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to reach, bend and stoop
