Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm
Position Details
The Billing Coordinator will manage reports from the Central Billing Office (CBO) and collaborate with Business Managers, Regional Directors, and Executive Directors to address unbilled and denied claims. This role ensures timely resolution of claims issues, reduces bad debt, and facilitates the timely submission and collection of claims. Additionally, the position will handle the research and reporting needed to direct resources effectively and ensure that claims are billed out quickly with fewer issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Claims Management:
* Review CBO reports to identify unbilled and denied claims.
* Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and Merakey to resolve issues and ensure claims are submitted accurately and promptly.
* Meeting Coordination:
* Participate in weekly unbilled meetings, take detailed notes, and provide follow-up on action items.
* Prepare and deliver necessary information to Senior Executive Directors before weekly calls.
* Follow-Up and Accountability:
* Ensure timely follow-ups on action items to address unbilled and denied claims.
* Actively work on unbilled reports and monitor progress on clearing claims to reduce bad debt.
* Reporting and Documentation:
* Format reports and organize data to highlight progress, barriers, and patterns.
* Maintain detailed documentation of meeting notes, follow-ups, and resolution processes.
* Track performance metrics related to claim submissions and collections.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
* Must have a high school diploma or GED
* 2-3 years' claims experience required
* Strong computer skills utilizing all aspects of Microsoft 365 with a focus on Exce
* Medicaid billing experience preferred
