The Relationship Manager is a proactive, trusted financial advisor to, and advocate for, clients and prospects with complex needs through the integrated delivery of investments, tax, law, insurance, real estate, mineral interests, and other specialized wealth management services
Essential Job Functions for the Relationship Manager will include:
Specialist (PFS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Investment Consultant (CIC)
Working Conditions: Professional office environment. Working inside. Standing and sitting. Will be assigned to a work station. No heavy lifting over 10 lbs. Travel is assumed up to 50% of the time.
Salary: Average annual salary range for this position across our locations is: x to x. Actual base pay within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills and licenses/certifications. This position is also eligible to earn incentive compensation through one of Mercer Advisors’ incentive compensation programs.

Essential Job Functions for the Relationship Manager will include:
- Serving both wealth creators (such as corporate executives, business owners or entrepreneurs) with sophisticated investment needs (both traditional and alternative) and high net worth clients whose needs gravitate more toward estate planning
- Responsible for new client acquisition and development; managing expanding existing relationships and building an external and internal network of contacts to derive new clients
- Managing client profitability and developing a profitable book of business by designing and implementing various strategies based on the needs and goals of each client relationship
- Partnering with teammates and other internal specialists and resources for additional expertise to advise on a wide array of products and services to the client
- Other duties as needed
- Demonstrates success in high net worth business development
- In depth knowledge of investments and general understanding of trust and wealth transfer, banking and credit
- Entrepreneurial: highly motivated, imaginative, resourceful and a self-starter
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly competent
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- High standards of ethics and integrity
- Ten to fifteen years of experience or comparable knowledge in financial services
- Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution; Master’s preferred
- Series 65 or Series 66 required unless candidate holds one of the following credentials: Certified
Specialist (PFS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Investment Consultant (CIC)
- CFP® strongly preferred
