JOB DUTIES
- Focus on delivering a positive, high-quality service experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Collect and act on customer feedback, leveraging insights to enhance service offerings and drive continuous improvement.
- Direct student interaction is receiving tuition payments, resolving account related issues and questions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Function as the primary cashier, processing payments from both students and campus organizations.
- Respond to email and telephone inquiries.
- Represent the Office of Student Accounts at New Student Orientations
- Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Monitor all printers and copy machines for payments and collection of monies.
- Serve as liaison with our external collection agency partners.
- Prepares daily collection reports
- Assists in monthly invoicing of outstanding student accounts
- Ensures PCI compliance.
- Maintains database for current tuition and fee rates.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position will require some travel between the two college locations of West Windsor and Trenton.
- Work generally performed in an office environment, campus facilities or grounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time; ability to move freely around both College campuses and other locations.
- Ability to adhere to and follow safety and security protocol in areas related to College operations.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk throughout campus to perform rentals, tours and inspections, complete service related activities, such as set up and break down of facilities and spaces and carry while walking
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in management, finance, operations, or customer service role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) or more years of experience in computer database management and/or scheduling software
- Experience in public employment; preferably a community college.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Thorough knowledge of cross-functional management of auxiliary services, marketing and sales.
- Exceptional customer service skills, performance management and the ability to develop staff.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and monitor billing strategies and collections.
- Ability to maintain database records relating for student accounts.
- Ability to work collaboratively with enrollment center staff.
- Ability to work with various campus offices to ensure positive customer outcomes.
