Job Summary:
The Partner Development Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Partner Development Team at Mercer Advisors. This team is focused on driving inorganic growth for the company through mergers and acquisitions of other wealth management firms. This role will work closely with internal partners and external clients to support the entire M&A Deal Life Cycle Process from lead cultivation through close of sale. The Partner Development Specialist will also provide administrative support to the Partner Development VPs through day-to-day operations.
Essential Job Functions for this role include:
- Support the Partner Development Team with merger and acquisition activities
- Proactively manage meeting schedules to support the deal process, communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
- Create, draft, edit and proof materials for meetings and assist with creation of presentations with the Partner Development Team.
- Support process for Partner Development team outreach to prospects
- Take accurate notes during meetings attended to reflect items discussed, reactions, and follow up items
- Research, collect and analyze information; including due diligence help from Lead Cultivation to Close of Sale
- Provide support with sales and deal activity reporting
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients
- Other duties as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, accounting or business
- Proficiency with MS Office programs including Word, Outlook and other technologies like Zoom, Teams, and Box.
- Advanced knowledge and skills working with Excel and PowerPoint including ability to analyze data and create professional PowerPoints
- Experience working in a CRM system
- Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and collaborative environment
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize workload
- Ability to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to complete projects and tasks
- Ability to work independently and remain flexible as priorities change
- Highly organized, detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Preferred: Project Management and Mergers and Acquisitions Experience
Work Schedule:
This professional role requires availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines for external and internal clients’ needs. Occasional travel may be required.
Working Conditions:
This position may be in a professional office environment or a dedicated home office workspace which is free of interruptions. Whether the position is in a dedicated office space or home office workspace, basic technology needs will be provided to satisfy position requirements. Routinely sitting and standing for periods of time. No heavy lifting over 10 lbs.
