Merchant Services Risk Analyst

Merchant Industry offers comprehensive services, including dual pricing card processing, surcharging programs, ISO sales agent programs, industry training, cash advance programs, and various equipment solutions such as POS systems, terminals, and virtual gateway equipment.

We are seeking an experienced Risk Analyst with Merchant Services experience to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving company growth while ensuring adherence to underwriting, risk, and compliance standards. As a Risk Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Technology, to assess merchant risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review merchant applications for account approval, developing and implementing mitigation strategies and reserves to manage risk effectively.
• Analyze batch activity and transactional behavior for anomalies and exceptions, proactively identifying potential risks.
• Work closely with internal departments and relationship managers to communicate identified risk concerns and facilitate resolutions.
• Update policy and procedure documents as necessary to reflect approved changes and ensure compliance.
• Maintain and improve existing projects as requested, adapting to changes within the department.

Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience in Merchant Services required, with a proven track record of effectively managing risk.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and other relevant tools for data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, coupled with keen attention to detail and note-taking abilities.
• Ability to adhere to task deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and apply common sense in decision-making.

This position is in-office in our Long Island City, NY 11106 and eligible to work from home 1 day per week.

This position offers a salary within the range of USD $65,000-85,000 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package including:
