Description
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for accounting activity at MCC including ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial activity, tracking of various assets and liabilities, preparation of monthly financial review info and responding to various audit requests. This role requires a detail-oriented and diligent individual who can collaborate with other departments to support the company’s financial goals.
Requirements
- Reviewing and approving accounting entries.
- Tracking and maintaining schedules of various assets and liabilities.
- Support the monthly, quarterly and annual close process for MCC, ensure timely completion, coordinate with parent accounting teams, and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Support internal accounting controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Analyze financial data and review for accuracy to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff accountants.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Expected Experience, Skills and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
