Job Purpose
This position is a part of the broader IT Support team and as such may perform a variety of duties. The incumbent in this particular role will primarily focus on the Network Technician duties listed below but will work help-desk tickets when not engaged in other projects. Must have experience in Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Security Management: Collaborate with the IT team to implement and enforce security protocols and best practices. Monitor systems for security breaches and assist with cybersecurity measures.
- End-User Support: Provide technical assistance and support to bank employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Respond to help desk tickets and resolve IT problems promptly.
- Computer Setup and Maintenance: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripherals for new and existing staff members.
- Network Infrastructure: Assist with monitoring and maintaining the local area network (LAN) and network equipment to ensure connectivity and reliability.
- Software Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, including operating systems, productivity applications, and specialized banking software.
- Data Backups and Recovery: Assist in regular data backups and ensure data recovery procedures are tested and functional.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment, software licenses, and peripherals.
- User Training: Assist in providing basic IT training to bank employees to enhance their technical skills and awareness of security protocols.
- Technology Upgrades: Participate in IT projects, such as hardware upgrades, software installations, and system migrations.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of IT-related activities, including support requests, troubleshooting steps, and solutions.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A relevant associate or bachelor's degree in IT or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. A certification or specialized training in one or more areas is required.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office suite. Must have experience in Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service to our brand team members.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with the IT team and other departments to achieve common goals.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly on the job.
- Ethics and Confidentiality: Understanding of the importance of data security, ethics, and maintaining customer/bank confidentiality.
- Must have a valid driver license and current car insurance.
Working Conditions
- Office environment, but may have infrequent occasion to work outdoors
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Overtime or extended hours occasionally
- Some travel may be necessary to customers and branch locations
- Offsite training or conferences may be necessary, with the possibility of overnight travel
