The Collector is responsible for the collection of outstanding premiums using the most effective means possible to receive the desired results.

Merchants offers its colleagues a Hybrid work schedule. The Hybrid work schedule requires 8 full days per month in the office, with the option to work the remaining days at home or in the office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the management of a group of assigned accounts for Collection of premium outstanding.
- Collection of premium outstanding using the most effective means possible (i.e. skip tracing, contact insured via phone or in writing) to receive the desired results.
- Assist Financial Services Manager with overdue premium analysis and recordkeeping.
- Provides cash processing and billing support.
- Provides back-up for Premium Accounting Assistant and Analyst as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s degree or equivalent work-related experience.
- 5 or more years collection experience.
- Microsoft Office knowledge as well as the ability to work with internal company systems.
- Exceptional organization, verbal and written communication skills are highly desirable.
Merchants Insurance Group Pay information:
Merchants Insurance Group offers a competitive pay scale. The actual compensation will be determined based upon experience and other factors permitted by law. The initial pay range for this position is $36,000 - $47,000.
