Your Role
You will collaborate with scientists and clinicians in neurology and immunology, applying machine learning (ML) and AI to tackle key challenges in drug development. As part of a data sciences team, you will utilize molecular, medical, and literature datasets to:
Match drugs to patients
Elucidate drug mechanisms of action
Identify biomarkers for response and safety
Refine clinical trial designs
Discover or prioritize drug targets
Your projects will involve diverse data types, including large single-cell collections, MRI images, biomedical literature, and real-world datasets (e.g., insurance claims, electronic healthcare records). You will engage with biologists, clinicians, biomarker specialists, and other scientists, as well as data scientists.
Who You Are
You have a background in computer science or data science, with a proven track record of applying AI and ML techniques to scientific problems. Your experience reflects a solid understanding of the underlying mathematics, tools, implementation practices, and engineering skills, along with knowledge of biological and medical data types. Ideally, you have experience in healthcare-related data (e.g., image processing, EHRs, claims) or other business areas.

- At least 6 years of relevant experience
- Proven application of ML/AI techniques in scientific contexts, particularly in deep learning, LLMs, embeddings, transformers, GCNs, and auto-encoders
- Strong proficiency in Python and R for ML, including various ML libraries
- Hands-on experience with scalable computing in high-performance environments
- Familiarity with big data environments or tech stacks
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in computer science, data science, machine learning, or related field
- Experience in pharma or biotech
- Full-stack proficiency in ML environments or tools, with capability in data engineering or ML ops
- Knowledge of statistics and non-ML data analyses
