Position Summary: The Fiber Services Drop Team of Mercury Wireless builds and services all of Mercury’s fiber to the home customers. The technician should be professional in attitude and appearance and engaged with other team members and construction manager’s needs. Field Services should be mindful and thorough in their work; following installation and safety guidelines, and instructions from the Field Team Leader.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Installation of fiber to the home equipment at Mercury customer premises
- Assist with fiber drop construction, vaults, pedestals and conduit
- Interact with customers, land owners and inspectors and represent the company in a professional manner
Skills & Requirements:
- Follow directions from Field Team Lead and work together with Fiber Foreman and Fiber Team Lead
- Comfortable working in the Right of Way, working with shovels
- Potholing utilities
- Learning how to mark for utilities
- Follow safety guidelines and safe working practices
- Basic mechanical skills
- Knowledge of and ability to operate basic hand and power tools
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with computers
- Basic computer networking skills and knowledge
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Self-Motivated
- Customer service oriented and professional in appearance
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
