Position Summary: The Field Sales Consultant position is responsible for leading the company’s local Sales and Marketing support activities within the defined Service Center markets. This position will report directly to the Field Sales Manager. The Field Sales Consultant is responsible for driving and implementing local sales and marketing activities to meet/exceed established field sales targets for the local Service Center areas. The position will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing teams of local Outside Sales Representatives who drive local sales efforts as well as contributing their own sales production for the local Service Center. The Field Sales Consultant will also approach targeted businesses with proposals to drive new subscriber and revenue growth. The Field Sales Consultant is responsible for managing the local Outside Sales Representative team, driving expected sales performance, and meeting or exceeding local team sales goals. This includes the overall team goal plus their individual sales contributions.
Finally, this role will work closely with Corporate Marketing and the local Service Center General Manager to implement, and support designed localized marketing and promotional campaigns, develop, and attend local community trade shows/events and networking functions, and initiate programs to help increase local brand awareness and drive new sales leads. The Field Sales Team Lead should identify targeted local advertising and sponsorship opportunities and manage an assigned local budget for those initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Area Business Sales (5%) • Prospecting new local business leads • Making SMB sales proposals • Closing new SMB business deals • Business community networking • Chamber and Local Events
- Lead Service Center Community/Local Marketing/Brand Ambassadorship Programs (20) • Local events and trade shows • Local lead generation and consumer registrations • Brand awareness building • Local sponsorships and advertising programs • Hand out company swag at events • Deploy yard signs in service areas
- Local Government/Municipalities Relations (5%) • Town Hall meetings • Meet with County Commissioners, City Council, etc. • Community Proposals

Skills and Requirements:
- Sales team management and sales quota attainment
- Minimum 1 year of direct customer service, marketing, or sales experience
- Experience in B-C sales, preferably within the technology industry is a plus
- Experience working with Marketing functions with a Social Media focus
- Track record of meeting or exceeding established sales goals
- Strong communicator and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal and analytic skills

Physical Requirements:
- Must be in good health and be comfortable walking neighborhood areas to promote Mercury Broadband services
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive a company vehicle
- Must be able to lift or carry small marketing materials
