Join our team as our Injection Mold Process Technician II in St. Cloud, Florida! As an Injection Mold Process Technician II, you will be working as a team member in the Plastics Department in support of the 3rd shift (10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.).
Your responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Set up and changeover of molding machines
- Create molding parameters for newly introduced product
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise to determine the most effective manner of conforming to product quality and production requirements, to include improvement process
- Pick parts or run injection molding machines using inserts when needed
- Monitor cycle time and make necessary adjustments when needed
To be considered as a qualified candidate you must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or a GED
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment processing injection molding machine(s)
- Extensive experience with injection molding materials and drying requirements for materials such as: ABS, Nylons, HDPE, PBT, PC, PEEK, POM, PP, PVC, and TPU
- Knowledge of hot runner systems, hot water temperature controllers, hot oil temperature controllers, robot setup and multiple action molds
- Understanding of scientific molding
- Basic working knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and electrically operated injection molding machines (Nissei and Toshiba)
- Knowledge and understanding of pneumatically operated machines and equipment
- Must be mechanically inclined, and an analytical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills that require basic English language aptitude (verbal and written)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Read and interpret production prints and quality requirements
- Must operate powered industrial trucks and overhead crane systems
