Mercury Systems is seeking a dynamic Enterprise Risk Manager to assist in executing the company’s risk management program, performing a range of activities such as conducting risk assessments, validating processes and controls, quantifying risk exposure, developing risk mitigation plans, and reporting on key risk metrics and mitigation status. Success factors for this role include amazing project management and negotiation skills, willingness to learn the company’s business and risk exposure, being comfortable with change, and cross-functional collaboration and relationship building. ERM Manager is an individual contributor role that collaborates with other stakeholders across the company and consistently drives risk mitigation projects forward.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Evaluate and identify risks across the company’s operations covering various types of risks through interviews and surveys of key stakeholders complemented by research of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory and industry-level developments.
- Assist with developing risk mitigation plans for prioritized risks and collaborate with stakeholders to validate and implement those.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and validation of risk mitigation to determine whether the plans are operating as designed.
- Assist with enhancing the company’s risk management program, including risk management policies, procedures, and methodologies.
- Collaborate across cybersecurity, compliance, and other functions to assist the company in developing risk management capability in areas such as information security and third-party risk management.
- Perform data analytics to deliver risk insights using transactional data.
- Draft reports on top risks, key risk metrics and mitigation status.
- Conduct risk management training and workshops for risk owners and employees.
- A bachelor's or master’s degree in accountancy, business, risk management, information technology, or other related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an internal auditor or Risk/Compliance adviser for top consulting firms, or within industry.
- Strong ERM, Risk management, Controls, Audit or Compliance experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analytical tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to travel, 10 - 20% of the time.
- Candidate must be either a US Citizen, a Green Card Holder, or a Permanent Resident
- Experience with ERP systems, data analytics and process automation tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, aerospace and/or defense industries.
- Professional certifications such as: Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other related certifications.
- Knowledge of information security including cybersecurity and third-party risk management.
- Capable of balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day operational tasks.
