The Social Media Coordinato r will manage and grow our social media channels by creating engaging content, developing creative campaigns and building a vibrant online community. This role requires a passion for social media, storytelling, and connecting with audiences to promote our cause, raise awareness, and drive action for our mission.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Content Creation - Collaborates with Development staff to develop, curate, and manage engaging content for Mercy Haven's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and TikTok), including graphics, videos, written posts and stories that align with our mission and brand.
  • Social Media Management - Oversee daily posting schedules, monitor platforms for comments and engagement, and maintain consistency in voice, tone, and messaging across all social media channels.
  • Current Trends - Analyzes trends in social media tools, applications, channels and design to enhance engagement.
  • Utilizing Tools - Uses Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe and other tools to manage content and craft appealing and engaging content for all platforms. Utilizes SEO marketing strategies for optimized exposure of all content.
  • Analytics & Reporting - Track, analyze and report on key indicators such as engagement, reach, impressions and growth. Provides insights on how to improve social media performance based on data and feedback.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

POSITION RELATIONSHIPS :

Reports to : Director of Development

Supervises : N / A

POSITION SHIFT :

  • Approximately 15 hours per week, flexible based on the needs of the program.
  • Occasional nights / weekend availability for events
  • Hybrid Work Schedule
  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field required
  • High proficiency in social media including as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc. and digital marketing tools such as Canva, Hootsuite, Adobe, etc. required
  • Experience working in Social Media Marketing required
  • Experience or interest in mental health field preferred
  • Flexibility to work some nights and weekends surrounding agency events
  • Valid NYS Driver's License with a safe driving record, access to a personal and reliable vehicle
  • Physical Requirements : Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily
