SCHEDULE: 7 days on / 7 days off
A109 and AW119
The HAA Pilot in Command is the critical component in a successful flight program. The Pilot in Command is at all times directly responsible for and is the final authority as to the operation of the aircraft. The Pilot in Command must be highly knowledgeable of the Operations Manual, FARs, Operation Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manuals, Training Manuals and other publications pertinent to his or her duties. Prior to each flight, the Pilot in Command is familiar with all available information concerning the flight. A109E and AW119Kx Fleet.
This is not a commutable position and it is preferred for our pilots to reside or relocate to within two-hours commute of the assigned base (relocation allowance considered)

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Must possess a commercial pilot’s license with instrument rating.
- Must possess analytical abilities, sound aviation judgment, problem solving skills and the ability to provide guidance for those under his/her supervision.
- Must possess above average interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with FAA, staff and hospital personnel.
- Must demonstrate leadership skills to participate in professional and community education program and to effectively maintain good public relations, for the institution.
- ATP preferred or obtained within two years of date of hire (company -paid, eligible for hourly pay increase upon certification)
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate prior to starting employment.
- 3000 total flight hours.
- 2000 total helicopter hours
- 500 PIC in helicopters
- Works in various environments to include airports in our service area and at the scenes of accidents and disasters.
- Requires scene and unimproved landing areas.
- Work requires carrying and lifting equipment of various weights and assisting the safe stretcher/backboard transfer of the Life Flight patient into the aircraft.
- Must be physically able to move about and work effectively in confines of the aircraft cockpit in which he or she is assigned.
- Governed height and weight regulations in accordance with Life Flight policy manual.
