Status: Full-Time
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday
- Tuesday-Wednesday & Friday-Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Job Summary: The Housing Solutions Navigator supports individuals in the shelter system by conducting needs assessments, developing housing plans, making referrals, and advocating for housing stability. This role involves managing a caseload, creating individualized service plans, and using trauma-informed care and harm reduction strategies. Responsibilities include coordinating with external agencies, providing crisis intervention, and supporting clients through the housing process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Client/Service Delivery
- Manage a caseload of 22-30 individuals
- Conduct assessments and create individualized service plans within seven days of shelter entry
- Assist clients with required documents for housing (e.g., ID, birth certificate, income verification)
- Provide referrals, crisis intervention, and housing placement assistance
- Develop short- and long-term goals through comprehensive screenings and assessments
- Link clients to employment, benefits, healthcare, and other needed services
- Use harm reduction and trauma-informed care to provide client-centered services
- Conduct crisis and risk assessments and provide housing transition support
- Collaborate with housing providers, landlords, and community organizations
- Support clients during voucher briefings and housing match meetings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client data in HMIS
Team/Staff Relations
- Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to implement the agency's mission
- Participate in internal and external meetings and program planning
- Adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with diverse populations
Administration
- Ensure accurate documentation for all clients, including housing plans and case notes
- Meet data collection deadlines and respond promptly to communications
- Utilize relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office, HMIS)

Qualifications
Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in homeless services or mental health, or relevant lived experience
- Individuals with less than a BA/BS degree but with at least 2 years of direct life experience working with long-term homeless, low income, and diverse populations and have a working knowledge of mental health and recovery are welcome to apply

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
