The successful Assistant Property Manager assists the Apartment and Leasing Manager in the day-to-day operation of the property; assumes leadership and initiative in the absence of the Apartment and Leasing Manager. Collaborates with site team and residents to create and strengthen a healthy community, facilitate on-site communication, and monitor property goals.

Duties:
- Enters data in resident accounts receivable ledgers, codes invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assists with resident records documentation to comply with appropriate affordable housing regulations.
- Assist with collection of rent and other income, makes bank deposits, and forward receipts to the National office.
- Assists with the leasing process from initial application to move-in.
- Attend social events and represent the property in a way that brings credibility to the site and staff.
- Design campaigns to generate activity, cold call businesses to get leads, and decorate units to become show units.
- Weekly administrative functions: Walk and inspect future move-ins 48 hours prior to the move in, contact and schedule move in appointments, complete zone inspections, call or visit properties to update market comp, and filing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of administrative, office, accounting, or customer service experience.
- Two (2) years strongly preferred.
- Property management work experience and knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws.
- Knowledge of real estate property management applications.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Adhere to complex regulatory requirements.
- Maintain resident account receivable ledgers under supervision.
