What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Consultant position at Midland Heights Apartments?
Midland Heights Apartments is looking for an individual to fulfill a career opportunity in property management. Multi-family Leasing and Assistant Manager experience preferred. Individual must be upbeat, self motivated, have impeccable communication, organizational and time management skills, enjoy working with people, be professional, punctual, reliable, trustworthy and take pride in their work.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Schedule showings, show and lease apartments, pull credit reports, answer phones.
- Schedule vendors to prep apartments for new move ins - turning apartments as quickly as possible.
- Process applications, security deposit returns and collection accounts.
- Type various leases, letters, etc.
- Maintain tenant files, making sure all documents are in order.
- Communicate effectively and interact positively with residents, vendors and the general public.
- Develop and maintain tenant relations as well as vendor relations.
- Oversee maintenance request and reconcile resident issues.
- Possess impeccable communication and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of the Fair Housing Act and Landlord Tenant Law.
- Strong writing skills and fluent with Microsoft Word to compose letters and memos.
- Fluent with Microsoft Excel - ability to build spreadsheets, input data and understand and create formulas.
- Strong ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Hours 8:30 - 5:30; Monday - Friday

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year based on experience.

- Customer Service: 2 years (Required)
- Apartment Manager: 2 years (Preferred)
- Apartment Leasing: 2 years (Preferred)
- AppFolio Property Management Software (Preferred)
