Mercy Housing is looking for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Real Estate Director to oversee our commercial spaces and ensure property operations meet compliance standards and expectations of Operational Excellence. Pay: $100,000/salary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regulatory compliance and reporting in our commercial real estate portfolio.
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and contracts.
- Negotiate and enforce lease terms and conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial tenants, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Oversee property management activities, including rent collection, budget development, contract review, and site inspections.
- Manage property maintenance, ensuring compliance with fire safety and emergency procedures, coordinating repairs, and implementing environmentally responsible guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in asset management, property management, commercial management, and /or real estate finance required.
- Working knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws, including Fair Housing and Landlord and Tenant laws.
- Experience being accountable for financials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in property or affordable housing management.
- Minimum two (2) years of administrative, accounting, customer service, and/or supervisory experience.
- Previous housing or property management experience including HUD, Low Income Tax Credits, Rural Housing, and Tax-Exempt Bond properties.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Comprehend and communicate in the English language both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in evaluating commercial markets, including read, interpret, understand, and report on commercial leases, legal documentation, and financial information.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver’s license).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
