Marketing Strategist Manager
This role is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies that align with the ministry’s mission and goals. The role focuses on increasing awareness, and growing engagement in the Residential Program, Centers for Counseling and Wellness, Keys to Freedom Retreat, and Outreach resources as well as donations, promoting events and resources across digital channels to advance Mercy’s mission. The strategist will work across various digital platforms and with other teams at Mercy to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging while measuring and optimizing the effectiveness of campaigns. The Manager will oversee all team functions, coordinate cross-departmental efforts, and deliver impactful campaigns that amplify Mercy’s mission and vision.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
Experience/Skills: 5 years’ experience in marketing with experience managing a team, preferably within a nonprofit or faith-based organization. Experience utilizing digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, ActiveCampaign (or other email marketing platform), Basecamp (or other project management system), Sprout Social (or other social media management tool). Strong organizational and interpersonal skills in both written and verbal communication. Ability to effectively build relationships with diverse individuals and collaborate across teams. Ability to successfully execute campaigns, prioritize projects and adjust priorities due to changing environment, budgets and evolution of strategy. Ability to clearly state goals, objectives and marketing. Self-motivated, well-organized, mission-centered professional committed and called to serve through Mercy Multiplied.
In the Marketing Strategist Manager position, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement overarching marketing and creative strategies that align with Mercy Multiplied's mission and organizational objectives.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports (Social Media Coordinator, Graphic Designer, Project Coordinator, and Marketing Coordinator).
- Facilitate team collaboration, ensuring cohesive messaging and timely delivery of marketing initiatives for Residential Program, Centers for Counseling and Wellness, Keys to Freedom Retreat, and Outreach resources as well as donations, promoting events and resources across digital channels to advance Mercy’s mission.
- Oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and event channels for all departments.
- Ensure campaigns are data-driven, leveraging analytics for optimization and performance tracking by providing analytics to Senior Director of Outreach and Content
- Collaborate with Senior Director of Content and Outreach and Senior Director of Development and Engagement to prioritize organizational needs and campaigns effectively and ensure branding standards.
- Innovate strategies for leveraging testimonials and stories to maximize engagement and donor support.
- Develops and executes a comprehensive internet strategy that aligns with the ministry's mission and goals, leveraging web technologies to increase awareness, engagement, and support.
- Oversees the planning and management of the ministry's website, ensuring content is current, engaging, and optimized for user experience and search engines (SEO).
- Works with Senior Director of Content and Outreach to strategize, recommend topics, and source content for web stories, newsletters, blogs, etc. in the creation of compelling web stories and dynamic content that showcases the ministry's impact, engages donors, and inspires action and connect audiences with the ministry's mission and resources by monitoring web analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of digital campaigns and inform strategy adjustments optimize the KPIs.
- Acts as the primary liaison between the ministry and the external agency managing the Google Ad Grant, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective use of the grant.
- Collaborates with the agency to develop campaign strategies that drive high-quality traffic to the website, promote key ministry resources, and achieve measurable outcomes.
- Reviews and approves campaign objectives, keywords, and ad copy to ensure consistency with the ministry's messaging and mission.
- Manage departmental budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive marketing calendar, ensuring coordination across platforms and teams.
- Act as a liaison with external vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and timelines when necessary.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $67,000 - 72,000/year

Mercy’s Residential counseling Program is voluntary, biblically-based, and helps young women ages 13–32 break free from life-controlling issues and situations, including anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, unplanned pregnancy, and sex trafficking. These residential services are offered free-of-charge. The Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling is Mercy’s free-of-charge Outpatient counseling Program for men and women aged 13 and older. Our Outreach Services train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, discipleship teaching, and other practical resources.
