Overview:
As an Advanced Health Information Management Technician responsibilities will include overseeing the organization, maintenance, and security of patient health information within healthcare organizations. The Advanced Health Information Management Technician will also demonstrate expertise in health information management systems, data analysis, and compliance regulations to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of health records. Trains and mentor, all new HIM coworkers in all functional areas.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in HIM/medical records; Minimum 1 year experience with ROI, MPI, and/or Analysis.
- Education: High School/GED
- Certifications: RHIT or RHIA preferred.
- Other: Minimum 4-6 years in an acute care medical records department.
