Overview:
Provide direct customer service to customers, providing a copy of the PHI in a requested median (paper, electronic, disc, thumb drive, etc.) when a HIPAA compliant written or verbal request is received. Intermediate Deficiency Analysis. Answer provider questions regarding outstanding documentation to include basic chart corrections. Intermediate abstracting and scanning for Accountable Care Organization quality measures for Mercy clinics assisting with improved outcomes, better quality care and greater engagement with providers.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in HIM/medical records or related fields.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certifications: None
- Other: Minimum 2-3 years in an acute care medical records department; Minimum 1 year experience in ROI or Analysis role in an acute care setting.
