What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Care Assistant position at Mercy?
Overview
Mercy is a healing ministry that brings compassionate care and exceptional service to our patients. As a Nurse Technician, you will work under the direction of the RN or LPN to assist in the individualized care of the patient, promoting their highest level of wellness.
You will be part of a team that recognizes the importance of group goals and works collaboratively to achieve them. Your designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks will be essential in providing care to the patient.
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. and enrollment in an approved or accredited nursing program are required. Prior to employment, you must provide student transcripts indicating completion of Fundamentals of Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a competency skills list from your learning institution. You must remain in good standing with your school of nursing while in this role.
- Certification(s): BLS certification is required within one month of hire.
- Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Prolonged standing and walking during each shift are also required. The ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties is necessary.
