Overview
As an ultrasound technologist, you will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to supply prescribed sonography examinations for radiographic diagnoses. You will assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required, performing related duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
- Evaluate images and manipulate ultrasound equipment.
- Lift, move, and transport patients safely.
- Continually stand and walk during shifts.
Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited radiologic technology program that meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program that meets requirements for registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Registered or registry eligible in OB-Gyn and Abdominal Sonography with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers OR The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Possess effective communication skills and adaptability in stressful situations.
